Osmosis Akan Plus does more than design itineraries. We are the ground operator: everything that happens on the ground, from the moment you land until you board your flight home, is organised and carried out by us, with our own team.
We work in Côte d’Ivoire and the neighbouring countries: Ghana, Togo, Benin, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea. We look after independent travellers, organised groups and the travel agencies that entrust their clients to us with the same care. Travel agencies and tour operators: see our Travel Trade page.
We design the route around what interests you, the time you have and the size of your group. Our published itineraries are a starting point, not a closed catalogue: most of the journeys we operate are built to measure.
This is what sets us apart, and it cannot be improvised. Ceremonies are booked and paid for in advance with the traditional chiefs and the initiates of each community, weeks or months before you arrive. They are not shows staged for tourists: they are real celebrations, and we are welcome because of a relationship of trust built up over many years.
For the same reason, we always explain the rules before you enter a village: what may be photographed and what may not, and how to behave in front of a chief.
Our lead guides stay with the group for the whole journey and work with local guides in each region. They lead tours in English, French, Spanish and German. Professional interpreting is a separate service, not included in tour prices, and is available on request, including in Russian and Chinese.
When a mission calls for more than a tour guide, we provide professional interpreters for business meetings, institutional visits and meetings with local authorities.
Transport is included in all our programmes. We choose the vehicle according to the route and the number of travellers, always with a professional driver: saloon cars, 4×4s, SUVs, minivans and minibuses. A 4×4 for the dirt roads of the west, a minibus for a group on tarmac.
The vehicle and driver are part of the programme we operate and of the quote we give you.
We meet you on arrival at Félix Houphouët-Boigny Airport in Abidjan and take you to your accommodation, and the same on departure. The driver waits even if your flight is late.
Personal assistance with arrival and departure formalities, so you skip the queues and any problem is solved on the spot. It is particularly useful for delegations, large groups and first-time visitors to the country.
We organise working programmes for delegations: visits to companies and institutions, transport, accommodation, interpreting and full logistics. It is a different format from a tour and we treat it as such, with fixed schedules and named points of contact. In September 2026 we handled a South African business delegation of 25 participants.
We handle the logistics of meetings, seminars and corporate events on the ground: choosing and booking venues, transporting participants, catering and on-site coordination on the day.
We prepare itineraries that build religious practice into the programme, with service times checked church by church before the route is fixed. The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro is one of the most requested stops.
We select and book the accommodation for each stage, from city hotels to places in areas where the choice is limited and it pays to know it in advance.
Write to us and we will look into it. Most of what we do began with a specific request from a client.
